Clinical & Forensic Psychologist
I am a licensed clinical and forensic psychologist, with over 20 years of experience providing psychological evaluation and treatment services for individuals, couples, and families. I also provide professional consultation and training services on topics such as violence/abuse, parenting/divorce, sexual behavior, ethics/professional roles, and cognitive-behavioral interventions.
Education & Training: I received my undergraduate degree from Cornell University in 1992, and my doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Washington in 2002. My training in clinical psychology included specialized training in human sexual behavior, couple therapy, and criminal and civil forensic evaluation and treatment.
Experience: I have many years of experience providing psychological services at institution-based treatment settings around Washington State, including Echo Glen Children’s Center, Twin Rivers Sex Offender Treatment Program, Western State Hospital, Child Study and Treatment Center, and the Special Commitment Center on McNeil Island. Since 2007, I have maintained a full-time private practice in Seattle. My private practice includes civil and criminal forensic evaluations, therapy, consultation, and professional training.
Professional Affiliations: I am a member of the American Psychological Association (APA), American Psychology-Law Society (AP-LS), Society for Child Clinical & Adolescent Psychology, Society for Child and Family Policy & Practice, Washington State Psychological Association (WSPA), Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers (ATSA; Executive Board Member, 2014-2016), Washington Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers (WATSA; President, 2010-2014), Association of Family and Conciliation Courts (AFCC), Washington Association of Family and Conciliation Courts (WA-AFCC; President 2017-2018), International Association of Sex Research (IASR), and World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH).
